Every inmate at Fayette County Jail gets one free 30-minute non-contact video visit each week. All visits are monitored, recorded, and subject to review. To schedule, create an account through the GTL portal (https://www.fayettecopa.gtlvisitme.com/app). Book at least 24 hours ahead but no more than 14 days in advance. During registration, upload a clear photo of your government-issued ID—visits are denied if you refuse or the photo isn't acceptable. ViaPath (sometimes listed as GTL/ViaPath) handles inmate telephone service at Fayette County Jail. Phones are available in all housing units daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and inmates can place unlimited outgoing calls during those hours. Calls can be made collect or charged to the inmate's commissary account, depending on how the system is configured. Each inmate has a unique PIN to access the phones. If an inmate thinks their PIN has been compromised, they should request a new one immediately. Sharing or using another inmate's PIN is prohibited and can result in suspended phone privileges.
