Bringing Court Clothes to Fayette County Jail: When, Where, and What's Allowed
If your loved one has Criminal Court coming up, you may be able to drop off court clothing at Fayette County Jail—but only in specific situations and only after the jail approves it. Here's how it works: the exact drop-off window, what you can bring, and what happens if anything prohibited is found.
Fayette County Jail only accepts court clothing for inmates scheduled to appear in Criminal Court. Not on the Criminal Court schedule? The jail won't take clothes for them. Confirm the court appearance qualifies before you shop or make the trip.
The inmate needs approval before anything gets in. They must submit a Request Slip to the Deputy Warden of Treatment, and it has to be approved before clothing will be accepted. Show up without that approval, and you'll likely be turned away at the lobby.
Drop-offs happen during a narrow window each month. You can bring court clothing to the jail lobby during the last calendar week of the month, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Outside that timeframe, the jail won't accept it.
