Who Can't Visit (And When You Can Visit Again) at Fayette County Jail
Fayette County Jail has visitor-eligibility rules that catch families off guard—especially the 60-day waiting period for anyone recently incarcerated there. Here's how the restriction works and what you can do to get approved once you're eligible.
If you were previously incarcerated at Fayette County Jail, you can't visit someone currently housed there until 60 days have passed since your release. This is a hard cutoff - even with valid ID and no other issues, your visit request will be denied if you're inside that window. Once the 60 days pass, you can register and go through the normal approval process.
Note: If you were previously incarcerated at Fayette County Jail, you must wait 60 days after your release before you can be approved to visit a current inmate.

Before you can schedule a visit, you'll need to register through the GTL VisitMe site and create an account. If the 60-day post-release restriction applies to you, wait until that window closes before trying to schedule - otherwise your approval can get blocked even after you've completed signup.
