Sending Food Packages to Inmates (Union Supply) — How Families Can Order for Floyd County Prison

The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) allows Union Supply to receive orders for approved food item packages for people housed in state prisons, including Floyd County Correctional Institution. If you’re an approved family member or friend, you can place an order with Union Supply on an inmate’s behalf.

Union Supply offers several ways to place a food-package order for someone in a GDC facility. You can order online, by mail, phone, or fax - pick whatever works best for you.

To order by mail, send your completed order to: Union Supply, 2500 Regent Blvd Dept. 421, P.O. Box 619059, Dallas, TX 75261-9059.

To order by phone, call Union Supply at 1-562-361-5719. You can also use the toll-free number: 1-855-247-0563.

To order by fax, send your order to Union Supply at 1-310-603-1188.

Every Union Supply order includes a $2.95 shipping and handling charge. This fee is non-refundable.

For GDC State Prisons and Integrated Treatment Facilities (ITFs), packages are capped at $100 per offender or 15 lbs. - whichever you hit first.

For Probation Detention Centers, the limit drops to $50 per offender or 7 lbs. per package - again, whichever comes first.

Deadline reminder: Any Union Supply orders received after the program deadline will not be accepted.

Want to see what's allowed before you order? Download the order forms from the Georgia Inmate Package website. The form lists every item GDC has pre-approved.

GDC also offers a downloadable PDF of the food package guidelines on the same page. Print it out and keep it with your paperwork for easy reference.

Practical Tips

  • Make sure you’re an approved family member or friend before you place an order through Union Supply.
  • Keep your order within the GDC limits for state prisons/ITFs: $100 per offender or 15 lbs. per package (whichever comes first).
  • Submit early enough to meet the program deadline - late orders won’t be accepted.

Note: While GDC authorizes Union Supply for this program, I'd still recommend confirming any facility-specific restrictions that could affect delivery to Floyd County.
