Using TRULINCS and the BOP Inmate Locator: Keep in Touch and Find Where an Inmate Is
TRULINCS messages for inmates at FMC Butner are text-only. That means you can write a normal message, but you can’t send attachments through the system.
Messages are capped at 13,000 characters. Writing a long update? Split it into multiple messages so nothing gets cut off.
TRULINCS isn't open email - approval is required on both ends. The inmate needs to be cleared to use the system, and you'll need to give permission to receive their messages.
