How to Add Money to an Inmate's Account at Fort Stockton Unit
Before sending funds to someone at Fort Stockton Unit, make sure you're eligible to deposit—and know what fees eCommDirect charges.
Check your eligibility first - this can stop a deposit before it goes through. Since September 1, 2020, only people on the inmate's approved visitor list or Inmate Telephone List can deposit money. Not on either list? You'll need to get added before sending funds.
Deposits through eCommDirect come with a fee: $2.50 plus 2.25% of the deposit amount. The more you send, the higher the total cost.
Placing a commissary purchase through eCommDirect instead of depositing money? That's a separate $3.75 fee.
Note: If you make a deposit and a commissary purchase at the same time through eCommDirect, the combined fee is $3.75 plus 2.25% of the deposit.
Worried your deposit didn't arrive? Inmate Trust Fund staff can confirm whether a deposit was received when you contact them.
They won't share financial details, though. Account activity and balances are only released to the inmate - not to family or friends.
If something seems off - maybe you're unsure whether you're on the approved visitor list or Inmate Telephone List, or you want to double-check fees - confirm the details before submitting. Verify your eligibility and current fee info through Fort Stockton Unit or the official TDCJ commissary/trust page for eCommDirect. A quick check saves you from rejected transactions and avoidable fees.
