How to Set Up Your TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler Account (Step‑by‑Step)

Each visitor creates and manages their own account in the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler - staff can't set one up for you. Your first step is registering with an email address you control and plan to keep using.

Once your email is validated, you'll reach the Background Questionnaire. Answer every question - TDCJ won't let you continue until it's complete.

Next, fill out your Visitor Profile so the system can identify you. Take your time here. Remember: the email address you used is permanent - it can't be changed, and the account can't be deleted.

With your visitor info saved, you can add the inmate to your profile. Search using the inmate's TDCJ number or SID number - it must be exactly 8 digits. Missing or extra digits will cause the search to fail.

1. Open the TDCJ Offender Search feature on the TDCJ website - use it when you don’t know the inmate’s TDCJ or SID number.
2. Search for the person - once you find the correct match, note the listed TDCJ or SID number.
3. Return to the scheduler and enter the number - make sure you type all 8 digits exactly as shown.

Once the system finds the right person, select your relationship and submit a Relationship Request. Staff at the inmate's unit will verify the connection. After approval, you'll be able to schedule visits through the scheduler.

Troubleshooting

• ✓ Click the Forgot Password/Reset Password link on the scheduler login screen.
• ✓ Enter the email address you used to create the account.
• ✓ Watch for an email with the reset steps and follow the instructions.
• ✓ If you don’t see it, check your spam/junk folder and make sure you’re checking the same inbox for the account email you registered.
• ✓ Try again if you typed the email address wrong the first time.
