A Special Visit at FMCC is a pre-approved exception to the regular visiting schedule. The facility offers visiting seven days a week through Video Visiting or these pre-approved Special Visits. Think of a Special Visit as the path you take when you need a planned, approved in-person visit that doesn't fit the normal routine.

Start by completing a Special Visitation Application. All in-person visits at FMCC are by appointment only and must be scheduled a week in advance. The application gets your special visit approved and on the calendar.

  1. Get the Special Visitation Application - Visiting applications are available through the CDOC Visiting Applications page.
  2. Submit your application by email - For FMCC, applications can be submitted to DOC_ecc-visiting@state.co.us.
  3. Call if you need the right visiting email contact - You can call (719) 269-5603 to obtain an email address related to visiting at FMCC.

Note: Send your application to DOC_ecc-visiting@state.co.us using the submission method FMCC specifies for visiting paperwork. Follow any additional instructions provided for FMCC applications.

FMCC schedules in-person visits by appointment, and you'll need to book at least a week ahead. Shorter notice? That counts as an exception - and you'll need pre-approval before showing up.

If your visit is denied or cut short: Staff should tell you why. The CMC Warden reviews the situation and makes a final decision. You can submit written information for the Warden to consider during that review.
