How to Schedule and Check In for a Visit at Four Mile Correctional Center (FMCC)
Visiting Four Mile Correctional Center (FMCC) requires some planning—visits are appointment-only, and you won't check in at the prison itself. Here's how to get approved, book your visit, and navigate check-in at the East Canon Complex Visiting Center.
FMCC visits are appointment-only, scheduled a week in advance. Need an exception to that timeline? You'll have to get it pre-approved. On visit day, don't head to FMCC. Instead, you'll register at the East Canon Complex Visiting Center at your scheduled check-in time, then get transported to the FMCC visiting rooms from there.
You'll need to be approved as a visitor before you can schedule anything. Colorado DOC requires you to complete the Visitor Application (AR 300-01A) and submit the signed form to the facility where the person you're visiting is housed.
- ✓ A copy of a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
- ✓ Make sure the address on your photo ID matches the address on your visiting application (a mismatch can lead to denial)

Once approved, plan around FMCC's appointment-only system. Visits must be scheduled a week ahead, and exceptions require pre-approval. Keep this in mind before booking travel or making other plans.

You’ll check in at the East Canon Complex Visiting Center. It’s located 1/8 mile off Highway 50 on the south side, about two miles east of Cañon City, between mile markers 283 and 284.
Arrive at the East Canon Complex Visiting Center at your scheduled check-in time. After processing, you'll wait in the south area of the Visiting Center until transportation to the FMCC visiting rooms is available. Transportation runs throughout the visiting day, so the routine is: check in at the Visiting Center first, then get shuttled to FMCC for your actual visit.
