Visiting Room Vending at FMCC: Bring a Debit/Credit Card (What Changed in Dec 2022)

On December 9, 2022, Canon Minimum Centers (including Four Mile Correctional Center) switched visiting-room vending machines from canteen cards to debit/credit cards. The bottom line: bring a debit or credit card if you want to use the vending machines. Canteen cards won't work anymore.

Card Rules

• ✓ Bring 1 debit or credit card for the visiting-room vending machines.
• ✓ Don’t bring a second card for vending use - visitors are only permitted one.

Staff at FMCC will account for your debit/credit card when you enter the visiting room and again when you leave. Keep your card with you the entire time - it must stay in your possession throughout the visit.

Still have an old canteen card? It won't work for vending anymore. Canteen cards stopped working in CMC visiting-room vending machines after December 8, 2022.

1. Gather your canteen card details - have whatever information you have about the card and remaining balance ready.
2. Contact the canteen vendor - reimbursement requests for leftover balances are handled through the vendor.
3. Follow the vendor’s reimbursement process - the vendor is the route for getting funds back from an old canteen card balance.

Practical Tips

• ✓ Bring one debit/credit card if you plan to use the vending machines.
• ✓ Keep that card in your possession for the full visit; staff will account for it when you enter and when you leave.
• ✓ If you have money left on an old canteen card, start the reimbursement request with the canteen vendor (not the vending machines at the facility).
