Frederick County Detention Center schedules in-person visits by population: juveniles on Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., females on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and males on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration opens 30 minutes before each session and closes 30 minutes before it ends — arrive early. Each inmate gets one 30-minute visit per week with up to four visitors at a time. Visitors under 18 need an adult with them unless they're the inmate's spouse. Bring valid photo ID and proof of age. You'll be photographed before entering, and refusing the photo means losing visitation privileges. Lockers in the visitation lobby cost $0.25 per use. Starting May 1, 2025, Work Release visits will be no-contact (video-only).
