How Law Library Access Works at FTC Oklahoma City (ELL terminals, hours, copies)
If your loved one needs to research a case, prepare filings, or copy legal paperwork, here's how the law library at FTC Oklahoma City actually works.
The main law library at FTC Oklahoma City is on the 2nd floor, in the education area. That's the central spot for legal research and related services.
The library has three Electronic Law Library (ELL) terminals. With only a few shared stations, timing matters - your loved one may need to plan ahead to get research time.
The law library is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All legal research needs to happen during those hours.
Need copies of legal documents? Education staff can make them for $0.15 per copy. Longer filings or exhibits can add up quickly.
- ✓ Sign a “Request for Withdrawal of Inmate’s Personal Funds” before copies are made, so the copy charges can be paid.
FTC Oklahoma City defines an "imminent court deadline" as 45 days or less. That's the threshold for time-sensitive legal requests.
Note: Typewriter ribbons aren't allowed in personal property - they're classified as government equipment.
