How to Request and Schedule a Video Visit at Garden State Youth Correctional Facility

To schedule a videoconference at Garden State Youth Correctional Facility, submit your request by fax at least 48 hours in advance (2 business days). Conferences happen Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM - weekends and holidays are off the table.

The timing rule is simple: fax your request at least 48 hours before the conference, and the facility counts that as two business days. Weekends and holidays don't count toward the lead time. Planning around a holiday or tight deadline? Count forward using business days only and send your fax early. Waiting until the last minute is a common reason requests get bumped to a later date.

• ✓ Contact person name (printed)
• ✓ Contact person work phone
• ✓ Contact person cell phone
• ✓ Contact person email
• ✓ Contact person fax number
• ✓ Agency county/region
• ✓ “FAX Yes” or “FAX No” to indicate whether you will be faxing documents to the inmate on the day of the videoconference
• ✓ Today’s date and signature

1. Complete the VTC request form - Fill in the inmate’s name and number, your requested date/time, and the reason code.
2. Mark whether you’ll be faxing documents - Use the form’s “FAX Yes/No” field to show if you plan to fax documents to the inmate on the day of the videoconference.
3. Fax the request to the facility VTC coordinator (or designee) - Requests are made via fax to the appropriate coordinator/designee.
4. Build in the required lead time - Send the fax at least 48 hours in advance (at least 2 business days).
5. Wait for scheduling/confirmation - After the facility reviews availability, they’ll schedule the conference within operational hours.
