You need your own visitor account to use the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler. TDCJ staff can't create one for you. Stuck at the login or registration screen? The fix almost always starts with completing the account setup yourself.
- Enter a valid email address - This is the email tied to your visitation scheduler account.
- Watch for the registration email - After you submit your email, TDCJ sends a message that includes a 7-digit validation code and a link.
- Use the code and link to finish registration - Keep that email open while you complete the registration steps so you can copy the 7-digit code exactly as shown.
Tip: If the registration email doesn’t show up quickly, check your spam/junk folder. Don’t delete the message until you’ve finished registration - you’ll need the 7-digit code and the link.
Once you set your password, you'll reach the Background Questionnaire. Answer every question before moving on - leaving even one blank can stall the process. After you submit, you can continue to your visitor profile and add the person you want to visit.
When entering your phone number in your visitor profile, use this exact format: XXX XXX XXXX (spaces, no dashes). So 210 555 1234, not 210-555-1234. Dashes can cause the system to reject your entry.
The TDCJ/SID number must be exactly 8 digits. Getting errors or can't find the right person? Double-check that you didn't miss a digit, add an extra one, or accidentally paste in spaces.
Don't know the 8-digit TDCJ/SID number? Use the TDCJ Offender Search tool on the agency website to look it up first. Then return to the scheduler and enter the number. Once the search finds the right person, you'll select your relationship to them.
