How to Schedule a Video Visit at Gibson County Jail (On-site & From Home)

All visits at Gibson County Jail are video visits - no in-person contact visits are available. Whether you come to the jail or connect from home, you'll be scheduling through the jail's Video Visitation System.

For on-site visits, you'll use a terminal in the public visitation room in the sheriff's office lobby. The inmate connects from a video terminal in their housing area.

Before scheduling, decide which type of visit works best. Each inmate gets one free 15-minute on-site visit per week - this is what most people use. Need more flexibility? Remote visits from home have no weekly limit.

Here's the tradeoff: remote visits cost $0.40 per minute. If you're watching your budget, figure out how long you want to talk and purchase enough minutes ahead of time.

On-site video visits take place at a terminal in the sheriff's office lobby. Available time slots are Wednesday 6–8pm, Saturday 8–11am and 1–4pm, and Sunday 8–11am and 1–4pm.

You must schedule at least 24 hours in advance. To book an on-site visit, use the video terminal in the public visitation area - the same room where you'll sit for your visit.

• ✓ Arrive 10 minutes early so you can check in and get seated at your assigned terminal before the visit starts.
• ✓ Bring photo ID if you’re an adult visitor.
• ✓ If you’re bringing a minor (15 or under), they must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

Remote visits are scheduled through InmateSales. Head to inmatesales.com, select "schedule a visit," and follow the prompts. You'll create an account (or log in), then move through the scheduling and payment steps.

1. Create an account or log in - Go to inmatesales.com and sign in (or set up your account if it’s your first time).
2. Open the scheduling tool - Select “Schedule/Purchase Visitation.”
3. Pick the right facility and product - Choose your facility and the visitation product listed.
4. Enter your personal information - Fill in the required details exactly as requested.
5. Purchase minutes - Remote visits cost $0.40 per minute, so buy enough minutes for the visit you want.
6. Schedule the visit - Choose an available time and confirm your visit.

Remote visits are available every day from 8am to 9pm, except during meal times. If you're not seeing the time slot you want, try scheduling outside meal periods.

On-site visits are only available during specific windows: Wednesday 6–8pm, Saturday 8–11am and 1–4pm, and Sunday 8–11am and 1–4pm. If your schedule is tight, check these blocks first before making other plans.

At-home visits have more flexibility - 8am to 9pm any day - except during meal times. But you still need to book at least 24 hours ahead, so don't wait until the last minute.
