For your on-site visit, you'll use a visitation terminal in the public visitation room located in the Sheriff's office lobby. The inmate stays in their housing area and connects from a terminal there. You won't be in a shared room - everything happens through the video terminals.

Reminder: Gibson County Jail uses a Video Visitation System for all friends and family visits. On-site visits still happen at the jail, but they’re done through terminals (you in the lobby area, the inmate in housing).

Plan to arrive 10 minutes early. The jail asks you to get there ahead of time so you can check in and be seated at your assigned terminal a couple minutes before your visit starts.

Bring your photo ID: All adult visitors must present a photo ID when they check in.

There’s no age restriction for visitation, but supervision rules still apply. If you’re bringing a minor, any visitor age 15 or under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Plan childcare ahead of time: Children who are not allowed to visit may not be left unattended in the facility.

You can't just show up - visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. You can schedule two ways: at a video terminal in the public visitation area, or online through inmatesales.com (select "schedule a visit" and follow the prompts).

Dress code matters. Proper attire is required, and showing up in inappropriate clothing can get your visitation privileges suspended. Play it safe - wear something that won't draw attention or cause delays at check-in.

Quick plan: Schedule at least 24 hours ahead, pick a time window (Wednesday evening, or Saturday/Sunday morning or afternoon), and arrive 10 minutes early so you can check in and get to your assigned terminal.
