Visitation Room Rules Checklist — What You Can’t Bring or Do at Grant Parish Video Visits

Leave your phone and any other electronics outside the visitation room. Grant Parish doesn't just ban cell phones - smart watches and other electronic devices aren't allowed either. All visits are subject to monitoring and/or recording, so violations get documented quickly. The consequences? You could lose the visit and your future visitation privileges.

Skip the snacks, drinks, cigarettes, and vapes. Grant Parish doesn't allow food or beverages during visitation, and tobacco products are completely off-limits - vaping devices included. Need a coffee or smoke break? Handle it before you enter or after you leave.

Watch your language and keep things calm. Profanity isn't tolerated in the visitation room - use it, and you can be asked to leave. Visits are subject to monitoring and/or recording, so assume everything you say could be reviewed later.

Plan your group size ahead of time. Each video station is limited to two (2) visitors, so if more people come with you, some will need to wait their turn or sit out entirely.

1. Leave prohibited items at home - If you don’t need it for the trip, don’t bring it.
2. Lock essentials in your vehicle before you go in - Put your phone, smart watch, vape, and any food/drink away ahead of time.
3. Use a non-visiting companion if needed - If someone comes with you but isn’t visiting, they can hold items while you go in.
