How to Visit Facility

Visits are limited. Each inmate gets one 30-minute visit per week, so plan ahead and make sure your trip lines up with the assigned time. Need a different slot? Changes are not automatic. Inmates may not change visitation time unless there is an opening and a specific reason for the change. If you are traveling from out of town, confirm the current schedule before you go.

  • Bring a current picture ID that includes your full name and date of birth.
  • Be at least 18 years old to visit.

Your visit can be denied or cut short if there is a legal restriction between you and the inmate. Visiting is not allowed between individuals who have current No Contact Orders or Restraining Orders. Follow jail rules closely during your visit. Inmates and visitors who violate jail rules or regulations during a visit may lose visiting privileges. Everyone must remain fully clothed. Lewd acts or exposing yourself may result in criminal charges. Leave pets at home. Pets are not allowed except service animals.

The visitation schedule is created week to week for new arrivals. On Friday, a new visitation schedule is created for each new inmate. To find out the current time, you have two options: call the facility to check the schedule, or wait for the inmate to call out and let you know.

Steps to Follow

  • Plan around the limit of one 30-minute visit per inmate each week.
  • Make sure every visitor is 18 or older.
  • Bring a current picture ID that shows your full name and date of birth.
  • Check the schedule before you go (a new schedule is created on Friday for each new inmate). You can call the facility, or the inmate can call out with the visitation time.
  • If a time change is needed, ask only if there is an opening and a specific reason for the change.

Once you arrive, keep things calm and follow the rules. If inmates and/or visitors violate jail rules or regulations during a visit, they may lose the privilege of visiting. Dress and behavior matter. Inmates and visitors must remain fully clothed. Lewd acts or exposing yourself can lead to criminal charges. Leave pets at home unless they are service animals, since pets are not allowed in the visiting area except service animals.

  1. Check the current visitation schedule: On Friday, a new schedule is created for each new inmate. Call the facility to check the schedule, or have the inmate call out with the visitation time.
  2. Ask about changes only if you have a real need: Visitation times cannot be changed unless there is an opening and a specific reason for the change.
  • Your photo ID is current and shows your full name and date of birth.
  • Every visitor meets the 18-and-older requirement.
  • There is no current No Contact Order or Restraining Order between you and the inmate (visits are not allowed if there is).

Note: Confirm the conduct rules before you go. Violations during a visit can cost both the inmate and visitor future visiting privileges. Only service animals are allowed, and everyone must remain fully clothed. Lewd acts or exposure may lead to criminal charges.
