How to Mail Letters (and When Books or Packages Are Allowed) to Grayson County Jail

Regular (non-privileged) letters to someone at Grayson County Jail must go through JAILATM.com. Use this exact address format: JAILATM.com – Grayson County Jail SO# and Inmate Full Name 2830 S. Hulen St. Box 809 Fort Worth, Texas 76109 Write the inmate's full name and SO# clearly on the outside of the envelope. Missing either one? Your mail may not get delivered.

Reminder: Put the inmate’s full name and SO# on the outside of the envelope every time.

Staff review all incoming and outgoing mail for contraband. If your letter contains prohibited items - or anything altered from its original purpose - it won't be processed. The facility will document it and either destroy or return it if possible.

When mail gets rejected as contraband, both you and the inmate receive written notice. The notice explains what was found, why it was rejected, and how to appeal if you disagree. Rejected mail won't be processed - it's documented and either destroyed or returned when possible.

  1. Write your appeal - include enough detail to identify the rejected item (who it was for, and what was sent).
  2. Email Jail Administration - send your appeal to DetAdmin@co.grayson.tx.us.

Books and packages are treated differently than regular letters. Grayson County Jail will not accept packages or books unless Jail Administration approves them in advance.

Contact Jail Administration for approval before mailing any book or package: DetAdmin@co.grayson.tx.us. Once approved, send items to: 200 S Crockett Sherman, Texas 75090
