How Attorneys and Employers Can Schedule Professional Visits at Greenville County Detention Center

If you’re an attorney trying to visit during restricted times, plan one extra step: contact the Professional Visitation Clerk 30 minutes before the restricted time. That advance notice is what allows the facility to make the inmate available for your visit.

1. Make the request in advance through the Professional Visitation Clerk - this is the standard way to arrange a visit outside normal business hours.
2. Call the after-hours number - you can also request a non-business-hour visit by phone at (864) 467-2300.

For phone communication, Greenville County Detention Center provides a way to keep attorney-client calls confidential. Attorney-client telephone calls are excluded from recording and monitoring when they’re designated on the facility’s confidential form, and only the specific numbers you list on that form are treated this way.
