Here's the key rule: employer and attorney visits don't count against an inmate's two weekly visits. Your professional visit won't reduce their time with family or friends.

You can schedule a professional visit in person at the Detention Center - a good option if you're already on-site.

Prefer the phone? Call (864) 467-2370 during normal business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Email works too. Send your request to detprov@greenvillecounty.org during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm) for the fastest response.

Need to meet with a client during restricted times? Contact the Professional Visitation Clerk at least 30 minutes beforehand so the inmate can be made available.

For visits outside normal business hours, request access in advance through the Professional Visitation Clerk or by calling (864) 467-2300.

Attorney-client phone calls aren't recorded or monitored - but only if the phone numbers are listed on the confidential inmate phone call form. Numbers not on that form won't be protected.

  • Fax the confidential inmate phone call form to (864) 467-2462, or email it to mstowers@greenvillecounty.org.
  • Expect the listed telephone numbers to be verified by the Department of Public Safety.
