What Times Are Off-Limits for Visits and Interviews at Greenville County Detention Center

Staff at Greenville County Detention Center won't honor requests to sign out or interview inmates during meal hours. If you arrive during a meal window, expect to wait until meals wrap up before anyone gets brought out.

• ✓ Breakfast: 05:30–07:00 (0530–0700)

• ✓ Lunch: 11:00–12:30 (1100–1230)

• ✓ Supper: 16:00–17:30 (1600–1730)

Meals aren't the only blackout periods. Staff also won't bring inmates out during institutional counts, recounts, or headcounts. Show up while a count is happening, and you'll either be turned away or asked to wait.

Want to avoid a wasted trip? Stay clear of these restricted windows: breakfast (05:30–07:00), lunch (11:00–12:30), supper (16:00–17:30), and count times (07:00, 15:00, and 22:00). Arrive during any of those, and staff won't bring the inmate out until the meal or count is finished.
