How to Get on an Inmate's Visitor List at Grimes County Jail

Inmates at Grimes County Jail can have no more than five approved visitors. Both the inmate and correctional staff must approve the list - being a spouse, parent, or close friend doesn't automatically get you in.

The inmate picks who goes on their visitor list, but staff have to sign off on it too. With only five spots available, families often need to coordinate. If the list is full, someone has to come off before you can be added.

Anyone age 15 or older needs a valid state driver's license or ID card to visit. Staff check IDs at the door, so make sure any teens coming with you have theirs ready.
