How to send money to an inmate at Guilford County: kiosks, mail, and the $300 cash limit
The easiest way to put money on someone's account at Guilford County is through the IC Team3 kiosk. You'll find one in the lobby of each detention center, and deposits go directly to the inmate's account.
The lobby kiosk accepts cash, debit cards, Visa, and MasterCard. Know which payment method you're using before you go - showing up without a usable card means a wasted trip.
Heads up: If you use Visa or MasterCard at the kiosk, the card has to be attached to an open bank account. Prepaid Visa/MasterCard cards aren’t accepted.
Cash deposits at the IC Team3 lobby kiosks max out at $300 per rolling week. That's any seven-day span, not a calendar week - so if you deposit on Thursday and again the following Wednesday, both count toward the same limit. Keep track of what you've deposited in the last seven days to avoid a wasted trip.
Sending money by mail? Guilford County only accepts certified checks, cashier's checks, or money orders. Personal checks and other payment types won't be processed, so double-check before you buy and mail anything.
At the Greensboro facility, the lobby kiosk is open 24/7. This is your best option if you need to deposit outside normal business hours.
High Point Detention Center has more limited hours. On Mondays, the lobby kiosk accepts deposits from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday through Friday, High Point's kiosk stays open later - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Check the day and time before you head over.
