Practical Tips

  • Make sure you’re an approved visitor before you try to schedule - you become approved by filling out the Visitation Request Form.
  • Submit the completed Visitation Request Form to the facility where your loved one is housed.
  • If you haven’t been approved yet, handle that step first; scheduling tools won’t fix an unapproved status.

Warning: If you’re deceptive on the significant other form or you keep getting warned about the same behavior, visitation can be denied or revoked. GDC can also suspend visitation privileges to meet special security needs at the facility.

Stuck? Can't find your scheduled visit, unsure if you're approved, or having trouble with the Visitation Request Form? Contact the facility where your loved one is housed. They can confirm what's on file and tell you exactly what to do next.
