Hamilton Unit Visiting Hours & Visit Lengths: What to Know Before You Go
Hamilton Unit visits run on a weekend schedule, with a weekly cycle system and a set time limit once your visit begins. Here's how the hours, cycles, and visit length work—so you can plan your trip without surprises.
Visiting hours at Hamilton Unit are Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. If you're juggling work, travel, or kids' schedules, those are your windows for an in-person visit.
Hamilton Unit runs on a Monday-to-Sunday visiting cycle. Eligible inmates get one visit per cycle. So if you visit on Saturday, that counts for the week - you can't schedule another until the following Monday.
Each visit lasts two hours. The clock starts when both you and the inmate are in place - not when you walk through the door. Arrive early so you don't lose time to check-in.
Hamilton Unit offers different visit types: Regular, Contact, and Video/Tablet. One thing to know: Video/Tablet isn't the same as the Securus Video program, which is only available at certain units. If you're planning a visit from out of town, double-check which video option you're signing up for so there are no surprises.
Note: Not every visit type is available in every situation. What's offered depends on your relationship to the inmate, the facility's setup, and the inmate's current visitation privileges.
