Phone calls from Georgia prisons: Securus rates, account setup, and rules

To receive calls, set up a Securus pre-paid collect or direct bill account online at the Securus Technologies website. Prefer to do it by phone? Call 1-800-844-6591 to set up the same type of account.

Local calls through Securus - whether pre-paid collect, direct billed, or debit - cost $0.06 per minute. Use that rate to estimate what your calls will run.

Quick math: at $0.06 per minute, a 25-minute local call costs $1.50 (25 × $0.06 = $1.50).

Funding a pre-paid Securus collect account? Deposits max out at $200.00 each.

Expect all calls to be monitored and recorded. There's also a hard 25-minute limit per call - once you hit it, the system disconnects automatically, no matter how much money is in your account.

Reminder: Call forwarding and three-way calling are not permitted on inmate telephone calls.

Calls only connect to numbers on the offender's Call Allow List. If your number isn't on it, the call won't go through - so double-check before you wait by the phone. Once you're listed, the same rules apply: calls are monitored, recorded, and capped at 25 minutes.
