Sending Money to Someone at Harnett County C.I.: TouchPay, ConnectNetwork, and Money Orders
Want to put money on someone's trust account? Online, mobile, phone, or walk-in deposits are the fastest options. Money orders work too, but they take longer and must be sent to the vendor—not the prison.
For people at NCDAC facilities like Harnett County C.I., deposits go through partner services that accept web, mobile, phone, and walk-in payments. One rule catches a lot of people off guard: you must be on the offender's approved visitor list to deposit funds. Get approved first, then send money.
Running into problems? Whether it's an account issue, a payment that won't process, or confusion about which method to use, call ViaPath's toll-free line at 877-650-4249.
Fees depend on how you send the money and how much you're depositing. NCDAC publishes a Money Transfer Fees table (effective August 1, 2023) that's useful for comparing costs across deposit methods.
Sending money by mail? The process is specific. Make the money order payable to TouchPay and mail it with a deposit slip to: TouchPay Holdings, LLC, PO Box 174, Houston, TX 77001-0174 (for trust deposits). Using the exact payee name and including the deposit slip prevents delays.
Don't mail the money order to Harnett County C.I. or hand it to staff. The prison won't accept or process it. Money orders go directly to TouchPay at the address above.
Expect some wait time. Funds from a mailed TouchPay money order become available within ten business days, though TouchPay says they'll try to post it sooner.
Need the money there faster? Web, mobile, phone, and walk-in deposits post to the offender's account the next business day. Check the NCDAC Money Transfer Fees table (effective August 1, 2023) before you choose a method so you know what you'll pay for the amount you're sending.
Reminder: Only people identified as approved visitors for the offender are permitted to deposit funds to that offender’s account.
If you set up a GTL/ConnectNetwork Friends & Family account, don't let it sit unused. After 180 consecutive days of inactivity, the account becomes subject to forfeiture (unless a different period applies under governing law or contract). Any activity during that window resets the clock.
- Call for a refund if your account is inactive - Customer service can help you obtain a refund at 866-516-0115.
- Opt in to reminder alerts - If you provide your contact information to ViaPath and opt in, you can receive a text and/or email reminder about the scheduled expiration no later than 30 days before the account expires.
Before you hit submit, double-check the details that can vary - especially walk-in locations and total fees. Statewide guidance says web/mobile/phone/walk-in deposits post the next business day, and NCDAC provides a fee table (effective August 1, 2023). Still, verify the exact costs and options for deposits to Harnett County C.I.
