How to Send Personal Mail to Someone at Harold R Bank Justice Center (Cherokee County) — New JailATM Process
Mailing a personal letter to someone held by the Cherokee Sheriff's Office? The address and process changed in December 2023. Here's how JailATM's central mail processing works, what you can send, and what to avoid so your mail doesn't get rejected or lost.
Starting December 18, 2023, personal inmate mail for the Cherokee Sheriff's Office no longer goes to the jail itself. Instead, you send it to a central JAILATM.com processing facility. There, staff open your mail, scan it, and email the digital copy to the inmate at the jail. This scanning service is free for both you and the inmate.
Note: The processing center discards original paper mail within 60 days of receipt. Don't send anything you can't afford to lose.
Send personal inmate mail to this address. Include the inmate's name and inmate number on the envelope: JAILATM.com - Cherokee Sheriff's Office Inmate Name / Inmate Number 925B Peachtree St. NE, Box 2062 Atlanta, GA 30309
Keep your envelope within the page and size limits. Mail can't exceed 100 pages per envelope, and each page must be 8.5 inches by 11 inches or smaller.
Since your mail gets converted to a digital scan, think about what can be opened and scanned cleanly. Staff open your envelope, scan the contents, and deliver everything electronically to the inmate.
