How to Complete the Automated Consent to Receive Calls from Haynesville Correctional Center
Want to receive calls from someone at Haynesville Correctional Center? You'll need to complete an automated consent process first. Here's what to expect and how to get help if you run into issues.
Before calls from Haynesville Correctional Center can reach your phone, the telephone subscriber - the person responsible for that number - must give consent through an automated system. You'll answer specific questions during the call to complete this required step.
Note: Calls are recorded and monitored, except properly verified attorney calls. Part of the automated consent is acknowledging that monitoring/recording rule.
The consent happens through an automated call. You'll hear prompts and respond to grant permission for inmate calls to come through. Remember: you're consenting as the subscriber for that phone line, not just accepting a single call.
- Confirm you’re authorized for the number - You’ll be asked: “Are you the person authorized to make decisions for this telephone number?” Answering this is part of granting consent to receive calls.
- State your name - The system will prompt you with: “Please state your name.” This is one of the required questions in the automated consent.
- Acknowledge monitoring/recording - You’ll be asked if you understand that calls are monitored and recorded, with an exception for attorney calls that have approved recording blocks. Agreeing to this acknowledgement is part of the consent process.
Once you've completed consent, calls can come through if your number is on the incarcerated person's approved call list. That list - which can include both landlines and cell phones - is maintained by the inmate and capped at 15 numbers. Not getting calls? Your number might not be added yet. Expect conversations to be brief. All calls are limited to 20 minutes, which can feel rushed when you're juggling time zones, work breaks, or kids in the background.
Good to know: You’re free to deny any collect or debit call from an inmate.
Don't want to accept calls? You can deny any collect or debit call from an inmate. This gives you control over whether each call connects and whether you accept the charges.
