How to Send Food Packages to Someone at Hays State Prison (Union Supply Guide)

Family and friends can place Union Supply orders to send food packages to people at Georgia State Prisons, including Hays State Prison. If your loved one is housed at Hays, Union Supply is the approved route for food packages.

Program limits vary by facility type. State Prisons and Integrated Treatment Facilities follow one set of caps, while Probation Detention Centers follow another. Since Hays is a State Prison, you'll use the State Prison limits when building your order.

Start with the Union Supply order form on the Georgia Inmate Package website. The form doubles as your shopping guide - it lists every food item the Georgia Department of Corrections has pre-approved, so you can stick to what's allowed and avoid delays.

To order online, download the Union Supply order form from the Georgia Inmate Package website. The form includes the GDC pre-approved item list, so you can choose directly from what's allowed.

To order by mail, send your completed form to: Union Supply, 2500 Regent Blvd Dept. 421, P.O. Box 619059, Dallas, TX 75261-9059. This works well if you want a paper trail of your submission.

You can also fax your order to 1-310-603-1188.

Watch the program deadline. Union Supply won't accept orders received after the cutoff, so submit early - especially if you're mailing or faxing and can't control delivery time.

Since Hays is a State Prison, the limit is $100 per offender or 15 lbs per package - whichever you hit first. Keep both caps in mind when building your order.

Different rules apply to Probation Detention Centers: the limit drops to $50 per offender or 7 lbs per package. Double-check the facility type before submitting if you're unsure.

Multiple orders for the same person get combined into one package. The final package still has to stay within the spending and weight limits - so placing several smaller orders won't let you exceed the cap.

One exception: Riverbend Private Prison in Georgia uses Access Securepak instead of Union Supply until further notice. This doesn't affect Hays, but it's useful to know if you're ordering for someone at multiple facilities.
