How Video Visits Work at Falkenburg Road Jail (All Visits Remote After Oct 28, 2025)

Starting October 28, 2025, the onsite Visitation Center closes permanently. All Video Visitation Services (VVS) will be remote-only after that date - no more traveling to the facility for video visits. You'll connect from wherever you are using the remote system.

Every inmate gets two hours of free, prescheduled video visitation per week. Want to stay in regular contact without racking up charges? Schedule those free sessions first.

Video visits aren't available the moment someone arrives - your loved one needs to be assigned to a housing area first. Once that happens, VVS is typically available between 9:30 am and 8:45 pm daily. Look for open slots within that window when you schedule.

Beyond the free prescheduled time, inmates can start on-demand VVS sessions for a fee. These are initiated by the inmate, so if your loved one mentions starting a visit this way, that's the paid option in action.

Professional visitors need to register with both a driver's license and a professional ID - a Florida BAR card, for example. Have both ready upfront to avoid delays during approval.

In-person professional visits are available seven days a week, 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. Since the October 28, 2025 change only affects standard video visits, professional in-person visits remain a separate process. Call ahead to confirm current requirements.
