Bring a valid passport or a U.S./state-issued photo ID. You’ll need to present it at check-in, and you won’t be allowed to visit without it.

Note: If you’re bringing a juvenile, they must be with a parent, guardian, or custodian the entire time and can’t be left unattended in the lobby or visitation area.

Head to the upstairs lobby when you arrive. That's where you'll register and start the check-in process before entering the visitation area.

Get there early. Henry County Jail requires visitors to check in at the Visitation Desk at least 15 minutes before the scheduled visit time. Cut it close and you risk missing your visit entirely.

Don't show up expecting to be squeezed in - all visits, video or in-person, must be scheduled in advance through the ICSolutions/JailATM platform.

Planning to add money to an inmate's account? Use the kiosk machine in the jail lobby. Henry County Jail requires all monetary deposits to go through that kiosk.

Prohibited Items

  • Food and beverages
  • Purses or bags
  • Cell phones or other electronic devices
  • Cameras
  • Drugs
  • Alcohol
  • Weapons

Legal warning: All visitors are subject to search and must follow staff instructions. It’s a crime to enter the jail with a weapon, drugs, or alcohol, to come in under the influence, or to attempt to deliver contraband to an inmate.

Dress like you want to get through the door without delays. Tank tops, spaghetti straps, bikini tops, short skirts, and shorts aren't allowed. Same goes for see-through clothing or anything revealing.

Reminder: Visitors are subject to search and must comply with staff instructions at all times - if staff tells you something needs to change, follow directions so your visit can continue.

What to bring (and what to leave home) — check-in & rules for Henry County Jail visits
  1. Bring only items that are authorized - if it isn’t approved, don’t try to carry it in.
  2. Turn items over before the visit starts - any authorized items intended for the inmate must be given to the Inmate Relations Officer before your visit begins.

Legal warning: Visitors are subject to search. Entering the jail with drugs, alcohol, or weapons, coming in under the influence, or attempting to deliver contraband is a crime.

Only one adult visitor is allowed at a time. If more than one adult is coming with you, decide ahead of time who's going in.

Juveniles must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or custodian. They can't be left unattended in the visitation area or lobby - not even briefly.
