Mail & Letters
- Personal mail for HighTower Unit that goes through the Digital Processing Center must be addressed to PO Box 660400, Dallas, TX 75266-0400 and include the inmate's full name and TDCJ number.
- When sending letters directly to the unit, the envelope should show the inmate's name, TDCJ number, and the unit address; unit addresses are listed on the agency website.
- Items such as food, clothing, jewelry, toiletries, or packages may not be mailed to inmates at HighTower Unit.
Sending Money
- Only senders on an inmate's Approved Visitor List or Inmate Telephone List may deposit money to HighTower Unit inmates.
- Accepted deposit methods include money orders, ACH, ACE, eCommDirect, and approved vendor systems.
- eCommDirect purchases are limited to one purchase per inmate per day.
Inmate Lookup
- When adding an inmate in the scheduler, the inmate's TDCJ or SID number must be exactly 8 digits.
- A Relationship Request to add a visitor is sent to the inmate’s unit for staff verification.
- If an inmate’s visitation privileges are removed, the interface will display 'Not Approved for Visits' instead of a Schedule Visit button.

The Inmate Trust Fund accepts money orders, ACH and ACE transfers, eCommDirect purchases, and approved vendor systems (check the facility page for current instructions). eCommDirect has extra rules: one purchase per inmate per day, and newly received inmates can't get eCommDirect purchases until the next calendar quarter. Items sold through eCommDirect are marked with an "E" on commissary price lists. Don't send cash or personal checks. Vendor and kiosk services may charge fees. The Trust Fund office can confirm receipt but won't share account balances with third parties.
