How to register your phone number to receive calls from HighTower Unit inmates
Want to receive phone calls from someone at the HighTower Unit? You'll need to register your phone number online first. Once you're enrolled, the system recognizes your number when the inmate calls.
Your phone number must be registered through the Friends & Family Enrollment process before you can receive calls from a TDCJ inmate at the HighTower Unit. Without enrollment, calls won't go through - even if the inmate has your number on their approved call list.
Before you start, grab the inmate's TDCJ ID number. You'll need it to complete registration - the system uses it to match your enrollment to the right person.
- Go to the Texas Inmate Telephone Friends & Family Enrollment site - this is where you register your phone number to receive calls.
- Enter your phone number and complete the online registration - your number must be enrolled before you can receive calls from a TDCJ inmate at the HighTower Unit.
- ✓ The inmate’s TDCJ ID number (you’ll need it during enrollment)
