Bring only what the facility authorizes, and only in the approved amounts. At Holmes CI, anything not on the authorized list (or any authorized item over the allowed amount, like too much cash) counts as "unauthorized" and will be denied entry.

  • More than $50.00 in cash for one visitor (even if you meant it for vending)
  • Bills in denominations other than $1, $5, $10, or $20
  • Any personal item that is not on the facility’s authorized list

No needles or syringes: Do not bring needles/syringes into the facility or leave them anywhere on facility grounds, under any circumstances.

Don't count on staff to hold items for you while you visit. Department staff are not allowed to hold or store anything for visitors. Plan ahead and leave unauthorized items somewhere else before you arrive.
