Visiting at Hood County Jail starts online. You'll need to create and verify an account through the Hood County GTL VisitMe portal before scheduling a visit. Every visitor, including minors, must be registered and approved by the jail. An adult can add a minor using the Manage Visitor Group option. Schedules are separated by gender: male visitation is Wednesdays 7:00 pm–10:00 pm and Saturdays 1:00 pm–5:00 pm, while female visitation is Tuesdays 7:00 pm–9:00 pm and Sundays 1:00 pm–3:00 pm. The jail uses an online video and scheduling system, and some users may be able to start an on-demand "Visit Now" session through the provider's site. Keep in mind that visits are a privilege. They can be restricted or canceled for rule violations, lockdowns, or other security or health reasons.

Hood County Jail uses Telmate for video visits. To get started, go to schedule.telmate.com, sign in or create an account, accept the agreement, select the person you want to visit, then choose a scheduled visit or click "Visit Now."
