Phone Calls from Indiana Creek: Approved Call Lists, 20-Minute Limits, and How to Pay
Phone calls from Indiana Creek follow VADOC rules: your loved one can only call numbers on an approved list, calls max out at 20 minutes, and most are recorded. Here's how the system works—and what you need to do so you don't miss a call.
Your loved one can only call numbers on their approved call list - up to 15 total. They're responsible for keeping it updated. Want to receive calls? Make sure your number is on that list.
Note: You can refuse a collect or debit call if you don’t want to accept it or can’t take it at that moment.
Indiana Creek uses the VADOC phone system, operated through ConnectNetwork by Global Tel*Link (GTL). All calls are recorded and monitored - except properly verified attorney calls. Assume anything you say can be listened to later, and keep conversations appropriate for a recorded line.
Calls are capped at 20 minutes. The limit keeps phone access fair for everyone, so plan ahead - cover the important stuff first, then fill in smaller details if time allows.
- Set up a prepaid account (AdvancePay) - This is the prepaid phone account family and friends can use to receive collect calls.
- Use ConnectNetwork (GTL) to open the account - You can set it up through ConnectNetwork, which is operated by Global Tel*Link.
- Add funds to the prepaid phone plan - Once money is on the account, it can be used to cover collect calls from your loved one.
- Call GTL if you prefer to set it up by phone - Use the toll-free number 1-800-483-8314 for account setup and help.
Quick help: ConnectNetwork (GTL) can be reached at 1-800-483-8314 for prepaid (AdvancePay) setup.
