RIDOC uses Access Corrections / Access Secure Deposits for online and phone deposits. You can pay with MasterCard or Visa (debit or credit). Want to handle it from home? Make an internet deposit at www.accesscorrections.com. Prefer talking to someone - or don't have easy internet access? Call their toll-free line. And if you'd rather handle things face-to-face (or you're already in the area), the RIDOC Inmate Accounts office window accepts deposits during set hours.

RIDOC partners with Access Corrections / Access Secure Deposits for online and phone deposits. For online deposits, head to www.accesscorrections.com and follow the prompts to send funds. They accept MasterCard and Visa - both debit and credit cards.

To deposit by phone, call the toll-free Access Secure Deposits line at 1-866-345-1884. When you call, follow the automated prompts to make a deposit for a RIDOC inmate.

Note: Fees are set by the vendor. RIDOC lists sample fee levels through Access Secure Deposits, but check the vendor's current fee disclosures before you hit "submit" or finalize a phone payment - no surprises that way.

For in-person deposits, head to the RIDOC Inmate Accounts office at 51 West Road, John O. Pastore Government Center, Cranston, RI 02920. It's next to the John Moran Facility - that landmark helps once you're on the Pastore complex.

The deposit window is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–11:00 AM and 1:00 PM–3:00 PM. It's closed on State holidays, so plan ahead if you're traveling in during a holiday week.

Bring a photo ID. RIDOC requires a photo ID to make any deposit into an inmate’s account, so don’t make the trip without it.

RIDOC ties deposits to the inmate's visiting list - generally, you must be on that list to put funds into someone's account. One helpful exception: there's a 30-day grace period after admission, giving the inmate time to add people. During that window, anyone can deposit funds.

Want to help but won't be a regular visitor? Ask your loved one about "money purposes only" slots. RIDOC allows two of these names on the visitor list in addition to the nine authorized visitors.

Before sending money, check the fee information through Access Secure Deposits. RIDOC shows sample fee levels, but confirm the vendor's current fees right before you complete your transaction.

  • Save your confirmation/receipt from Access Secure Deposits (online or phone) in case you need to track a payment later.
  • Write down the transaction or confirmation number right away.
  • Have your loved one confirm the deposit shows up on their end once it posts.
  • Keep the vendor info handy for next time: www.accesscorrections.com and 1-866-345-1884.

Planning to deposit at the window? Double-check the Inmate Accounts hours before you drive over - especially around State holidays. And don't forget your photo ID; you'll need it to make a deposit.
