Jackson County Jail uses collect-call telephones for people in custody. Calls are only allowed during prescribed hours. If you accept a call, the telephone company will charge you for it. Both calls and video sessions may be monitored by jail staff and can be terminated at any time, so don't expect these communications to be private. If you receive unwanted calls, contact jail staff at 541-774-6872 to request a one-year block. Once placed, the block will not be removed during the following year. Video visits are provided through ViaPath Technologies. You'll need to create an account on the vendor site before scheduling, and all video visits must be initiated by the visitor. The jail recommends using a computer with a webcam and microphone, high-speed internet, and testing your device before the visit.
