How to Add or Cancel Visitors for a Scheduled Visit at Jasper County Jail

Life happens: someone else needs to come along, a ride falls through, or your schedule shifts. At Jasper County Jail, scheduled visits start by submitting a request through the GDC "Request a visit" form. This matters because the tools for making changes look up the same visit record created through that original request.

Need to bring someone else? Use the GDC "Add Visitor" option. It finds your existing appointment and lets you add additional visitors to that same time slot. This works best when your visit was originally scheduled through the GDC "Request a visit" form, since that's the system the lookup is based on.

1. Open the GDC visitation tools: Start where you originally scheduled the visit.
2. Select “Add Visitor”: Choose the option that lets you add visitors to a scheduled visit.
3. Find your scheduled visitation: Use the tool to locate the appointment you already have.
4. Add the additional visitor(s): Enter the new visitor information and save/submit the update.

Can't make it? Use the GDC "Cancel my visit" option. This finds your scheduled appointment and removes it from the system. As with adding visitors, it works best if you originally booked through the GDC "Request a visit" form.

1. Open the GDC visitation tools: Go to the same place you used to schedule the visit.
2. Select “Cancel my visit”: Choose the cancellation option for scheduled visitation.
3. Locate your appointment: Find the specific visit you need to cancel.
4. Confirm the cancellation: Submit the cancellation so the appointment is removed.

If the system won't pull up your appointment, double-check that you're using the right GDC tool ("Add Visitor" or "Cancel my visit") and searching for the exact visit you originally scheduled. Still no luck? Contact the facility directly for help.
