Starting a Securus video visit: what to do when the JOIN button appears
  1. Go to Securus Online and sign in - Open securustech.online, then click SIGN IN to access your account.
  2. Open your account tools - Click MANAGE ACCOUNT.
  3. Find your scheduled visit - Click MY FUTURE SESSIONS to see your upcoming visit.
  4. Open the visit from the Action column - Click the icon under the ACTION column for the scheduled visit to start it.

Cost heads-up: Off-site remote video visits cost $5.99 for a 20-minute visit.

The JOIN icon is your green light. It shows up one minute before your scheduled start time - that's when you can click it to enter the visit.

Clicked JOIN and nothing's happening? Don't worry. The video session can take up to 30–45 seconds to connect, even when everything's working fine.

  • Give it a full 30–45 seconds after you click JOIN before you assume it froze.
  • Refresh the page, then navigate back to MANAGE ACCOUNTMY FUTURE SESSIONS and try the ACTION icon again.
  • Confirm you’re signed in (securustech.online → SIGN IN) and looking at the correct scheduled session under MY FUTURE SESSIONS.
  • Check your browser permissions so your camera and microphone are allowed for the visit page.
