What to Bring (and Not Bring) to Visitation at Jefferson County Correctional Facility
Visiting someone in jail is stressful enough without getting turned away for bringing the wrong item. Jefferson County Correctional Facility keeps the allowed-items list short, so packing light is your safest bet.
Inside the Visitation Building, you can only bring three things: your ID, your keys, and cash or a credit card for the kiosk. That's it. When in doubt, leave it in your car.
Cellphones aren't allowed in the building. Leave your phone in the car - along with anything else that isn't your ID, keys, or payment for the kiosk. Bringing prohibited items can cause delays or get you turned away at check-in.
Need to make a deposit while you're there? Bring cash or a credit card for the kiosk. The deposit kiosk is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, so plan accordingly.
