How to Put Money on an Inmate's Account at Jefferson Parish Correctional Center
Jefferson Parish Correctional Center (JPCC) gives you three ways to put money on an inmate's account: the 24-hour lobby kiosk (cash, posts immediately), online deposits through Forecomm Solutions (credit/debit, also posts immediately), or mailing a money order (slower, since processing takes 1 to 3 business days after the USPS office receives it). Whichever method you pick, you'll need the inmate's CCN number so the funds reach the right account.
JPCC offers three approved deposit methods: the lobby kiosk, online through Forecomm Solutions, or a mailed money order. Need the money available right away? The lobby kiosk and Forecomm both post immediately. The kiosk only takes cash, while Forecomm accepts credit and debit cards. Mailing a money order is the slowest route since it needs time to arrive and be processed. For all three methods, you'll need the inmate's CCN number to make sure your deposit lands in the correct account.
The lobby kiosk sits in the Intake Booking lobby and runs 24 hours a day. If you can get to the facility in person with cash, this is the most straightforward option, day or night.
- ✓ Bring cash only. The kiosk does not accept credit or debit cards.
- ✓ Expect the money to post immediately to the inmate’s account once you complete the deposit.
- ✓ Have the inmate’s CCN number with you so the deposit goes into the correct account.
Can't make it to the facility? You can deposit online through the Forecomm Solutions website using a credit or debit card. Funds post immediately, just like the lobby kiosk.
- Go to the Forecomm Solutions website - this is the online option JPCC uses for inmate deposits.
- Select “Deposit Inmate Funds” - click the button labeled “Deposit Inmate Funds,” then follow the on-screen instructions.
- Enter the inmate’s CCN number - you need the CCN to make sure the funds are credited to the correct inmate.
- Pay with a credit or debit card - Forecomm accepts credit and debit cards, and the deposit will post immediately to the inmate’s account.
Help line: Having trouble with the Forecomm website? Call 337-234-3534 (option 1 for Customer Service). Note that Forecomm will not accept deposits over the phone.
JPCC only accepts mailed deposits as money orders. Do not send cash. Write the inmate's correct name (the name they're booked under) and their CCN number on the money order so the funds get credited to the right account.
Give yourself extra time with this method. Money orders don't post immediately and can take 1 to 3 business days to process once received from the USPS office.
Don't have the inmate's CCN number? Call 504-368-5360 to get their name, CCN, dorm, and cell information. Since every deposit method requires the CCN, grab that number first before heading to the kiosk, using Forecomm, or mailing a money order.
Pitfalls
- ✓ Do not send cash through the mail. JPCC accepts money orders only.
