What Is the Commissary at Jefferson Parish Jail and How Does It Work?
Want to help someone at Jefferson Parish Correctional Center stay stocked on basics? The commissary is how inmates buy approved items while housed there. Here's how it works, what's available, and how to get money into the right account.
The commissary at JPCC is essentially a jail store. Inmates use it to buy personal items, snacks, and everyday sundries. Instead of you bringing things in, your loved one purchases what they need directly from commissary using funds in their account.
Every commissary purchase comes out of the inmate's personal funds. When they order hygiene products or snacks, the cost is deducted from their account balance. No money in the account means no purchases.
Want to help? You can deposit money directly into their commissary account. Once the funds are there, they can spend them on whatever they need - no coordinating drop-offs of specific products required.
A private vendor runs commissary operations at JPCC. They handle the logistics - warehousing, deliveries - and manage all the fund accounting tied to purchases.
How to Deposit
- ✓ Lobby kiosk (JPCC Intake Booking lobby) - Open 24 hours a day; accepts cash only (no credit or debit cards). You’ll need the inmate’s CCN number to make sure the deposit goes to the correct account.

- Use the lobby kiosk for cash deposits - The kiosk (in the Intake Booking lobby) posts deposits immediately, but it accepts cash only.
- Use Forecomm Solutions online if you’re paying by card - Internet deposits through Forecomm Solutions post immediately to the inmate’s account.
