Required: For visitors under 18, the parent or legal guardian's signature must appear on the visitor request form. Without it, the request will be denied.
Once the child turns 18, they're no longer covered under the minor visitor paperwork. They'll need to apply in their own name as an adult visitor. That means passing a background check before visiting, which can take up to eight weeks. They'll also need photo identification. - Watch for confirmation through the incarcerated person. The inmate will be notified when the background check is complete, and they will also be notified of the scheduled date and time of visitation.
