How Attorneys Schedule Virtual Legal Visits (VAV) at Kegan ISF
Virtual Attorney Visitation (VAV) lets attorneys have confidential Zoom conversations with clients held at Kegan ISF. It's a practical option when traveling to the facility isn't feasible - but it doesn't replace in-person legal visits.

You'll need to verify your credentials before the session starts. Kegan ISF requires legal representatives to show a state bar card or other documentation proving bar membership before the VAV begins.
To find available VAV time slots and current scheduling steps, check the facility's ICE detention-facility page referenced in the VAV materials. ICE directs attorneys there for up-to-date information rather than relying on a fixed schedule in the PDF.

VAV sessions are designed for confidential attorney–client communication over Zoom. A visitation officer will be stationed outside the room during your session - close enough to maintain security, but positioned to preserve your privacy.
No recording: Legal representatives and their staff are not permitted to video- or audio-record any virtual or in-person visit, or any call with non-citizens at the facility. Violations can lead to suspension or permanent revocation of VAV user privileges.
Need language support? Interpreters can join VAV sessions at Kegan ISF. You can also bring in outside interpretation services during the call - useful when you need a specific language or a specialized interpreter on short notice.
