To leave an urgent message, call (254) 729-2674 and provide the detainee's full name, alien registration number (A-number), and your contact information. For routine, non-confidential communication, detainees have access to tablets and can exchange electronic messages through the JailATM system. Attorneys needing confidential contact can schedule a Virtual Attorney Visit (VAV) via Zoom instead of meeting in person. Before the session, legal representatives must show appropriate identification—a bar card, for example. Only legal representatives, legal assistants, and interpreters may participate, though outside interpretation services are permitted. A visitation officer remains outside the confidential room for safety. Recording any virtual or in-person visit or call—audio or video—is prohibited.
