How video visits work at Kettle Moraine: Party IDs, scheduling and fees
Video visits at Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution run through ICSolutions, and small details—like your Party ID and exact name spelling—can make or break your ability to schedule. Here's how the system works, what you'll pay, and what can get a visit ended on the spot.
KMCI video visits happen through ICSolutions using video phones on the housing units. This system went live July 17, 2023, replacing the old Zoom visits for family and friends. Your loved one connects from their unit; you schedule and join through your ICSolutions account.
The Party ID links your account to the right person in DOC care for scheduling. At KMCI, the person you're visiting is responsible for giving you their specific Party ID and the exact spelling of your name as it appears on the approved visitor list. Get both details right, or you won't be able to schedule. One more thing: even if you're approved to visit multiple people in DOC care, you should only have one Party ID on your registered account.
Before you can schedule or participate, you must be on the DOC approved visitor list. You’ll also need to register an account with ICSolutions and schedule your video visit through the ICSolutions website.
KMCI follows DOC's standard ICSolutions pricing: each person in DOC care gets one free video visit per week. Want more time? Additional visits cost $2.50 for 25 minutes.
DOC generally caps paid visits at 12 per month. Some institutions have different rules, so if you're hitting that limit, check with KMCI directly.
How to Pay
- ✓ Pay with a valid Visa or Mastercard credit/debit card (other card types aren’t accepted).
- ✓ Mail cash-equivalent payment (Western Union), a cashier’s check, or a money order to: IC Solutions, 2200 Danbury Street, San Antonio, TX 78217.
Ends the visit immediately: KMCI can terminate a video visit right away for sexual acts or nudity, drug or alcohol use, showing objects identified as a threat (firearms, weapons, knives, etc.), or operating a vehicle during the scheduled visit.
Inappropriate language or joining from the wrong location - like a bar or nightclub - will also end your visit immediately. Take the call from a quiet, private spot and keep the conversation respectful.
