Sending Commissary Items to Kleberg County Jail: What's Allowed and What's Not
Want to send hygiene items, snacks, or writing supplies to someone at Kleberg County Jail? Here's the key rule: everything has to go through the jail's commissary vendor. You can't send packages yourself or order from regular retailers.
Kleberg County Sheriff's Office uses CTC Commissary for both inmate deposits and commissary orders. The jail won't accept items purchased elsewhere and sent in - everything needs to go through CTC. To support your loved one, deposit money through the CTC Commissary system. They can then use those funds for commissary purchases, and any orders you place will arrive the way the facility requires.
Warning: Kleberg County Jail won't accept items from other merchants. Commissary-type deliveries from individuals or outside vendors will be refused.
Once you add funds through the commissary system, your loved one can spend that money on everyday basics. The sheriff's office lists items like envelopes and stamps, shampoo and hygiene products, and snacks like candy. If you want to make daily jail life a little easier, this is where commissary money typically goes.

There's one exception to the "no outside merchants" rule: softcover (paperback) books. While typical packages and commissary items can't come from retailers, paperbacks are specifically allowed. That said, the jail still controls what actually makes it inside. Confirm the exact ordering or mailing procedure before you buy - you don't want delays or a rejected shipment.
Note: Before purchasing or shipping a paperback, check with CTC Commissary or the jail directly to make sure you're following the accepted process.
Don't show up at the jail with a bag of items hoping to leave them at the front desk. Kleberg County Jail doesn't allow personal drop-offs, and they won't accept deliveries from outside merchants. Stick to the approved commissary vendor route - or the softcover book exception - so your effort and money don't go to waste.
